Peter has served in various capacities on the SNIA (Storage Networking Industry Association). He is the former chair of the Reference Guide Committee and serves as the co-chair for SNIA’s Long-term Compliance Long-Term Archive and Compliance Storage Initiative (LTACSI)-LTACSI is a cooperative effort of end users, IT professionals, vendors, integrators, and service providers with interest in the challenges related to long-term digital information retention, preservation, and compliance-related storage practices. He was instrumental in the research and publication of the 100 Year Archive Requirements Survey and continues to stay current in the high-tech storage area especially where storage intersects with technological challenges for long term preservation (archival) requirements, and the business concerns for compliance, legal discovery, records management and overall risk associated with electronically stored information (ESI) for major corporations.
